More Baby Alice—In Home Newborn & Lifestyle Shoot

 

Malissa called wondering if we could take some newborn photos of her new little one and I of course jumped at the chance.  Malissa and her family have single handedly built my confidence behind the camera and after photographing a wedding, family and now a newborn shoot I’m starting to feel like part of the family.  I asked Malissa if we could do some lifestyle type photos along with some posed shots and she was game.  Here are some of the posed shots.  Thankfully little Alice was sleepy and happy.

             

After the posed shots we found the best light in the house and just let mom & Grandma hold that cute little one.

Took advantage of the great vinyl lettering on the wall and the great light…even got a sleepy baby smile.

Favorite two shots of the whole shoot.  That gorgeous defused window light is just wrapping around those cute baby features and kissing those baby cheeks and toes.  Makes me want to wrap up in that light and take a nap of my own.

  

A few weeks later Malissa gussied Alice up in her blessing dress and we got a few more gorgeous shots of this cute little one.

A Little Time Away at Girls Camp

 

So, remember this project….

 

Well a few months later and I was at girls camp.  Spent the week enjoying some time outside and getting to know the girls and leaders from our stake.  Didn’t take too many photos, but pulled the big ‘ol zoom lens out for a bit and was able to capture some moments of true authenticity…love how girls camp facilitates those moments and how my zoom lets me sneak up on them.

 

      

Fall Family Mini-Shoot

It’s that time of year…the leaves are changing, the kids are back in school & the holidays are right around the corner.  It is the perfect time to get that family portrait for your Christmas card and to take advantage of the beautiful fall weather and colors. Baby Caroline

Haven’t been great at posting recent shoots, so here is one from a few months ago as I try to play catch up.  Had the opportunity to spend some time with my neighbor Cristine and her cute new little one.  Had so much fun with all the little girl stuff…we don’t have much of that at our house.  Such a sweet little girl and Cristine you are so patient and loving with all of your kids.  Thanks for the fun afternoon, and I can’t wait to see this little one grow.


   

An Evening With the Beautiful Tianna and a Gaggle of Geese

 

Had such a fun evening shooting some Senior portraits for Tianna a few months ago.  Spent the evening laughing and running away from the gaggle of geese at Wheeler Farm.  Tianna has such a strong testimony and a confidence in herself that shines through in her fabulous smile.  The camera just loved her “caramel” colored hair and eyes.  Can’t wait to see this girl go out and conquer the world!

Bike MS Minishoot Wrap Up

 

I just wanted to thank all of you who participated in the MS minishoot.  I exceeded my goal in donations and had a great time getting to know you and your families in the process.  The big ride is on Saturday and as I sit here battling a sinus infection I am reminded of how blessed I am that I can ride.  Thank you for choosing to help thousands of people through a contribution to the Bike MS: Harmons Best Dam Bike Ride.  We are now getting closer to the hour when no one will have to hear the words, "You have MS."
